If the reducer lubricant appears to be contaminated, it is recommended to replace the lubricant immediately.
For gear units with oil level plug: Unscrew the oil level plug, check the filling height, it is necessary to replenish the oil.
Change the oil:
Change the oil when the gear unit is still warm.
Then cut off the power of the gearbox motor to prevent electric shock! Other reducer cooling!
TIP: The gearbox oil must be warm because of the poor fluidity of the supercooled, high-viscosity lube oil, affecting its emissions.
With oil drain plug and oil level plug, place the container under the oil drain plug, remove the oil level plug, pressure relief valve, drain plug and other plugs. Drain the lubricant, screw it into the drain plug, and add the same type of new lubricant through the vent (consult SEW for lubricant change). Do not mix different lubricants.
- The amount of refueling depends on the installation (see section "Lubricating capacity") or according to the nominal filling on the rating plate, check that the lubricant is filling up. Screw in the oil level plug, screw in the pressure relief valve and other plugs. Without oil drain plug and oil level plug: Open the cover, drain all the lubricating oil, add the same type of lubricating oil through the exhaust hole (if you need to change the oil, please contact SEW). It is not permissible to mix different lubricants depending on the type of installation (see chapter Lubricating oil) or according to the nameplate on the nameplate.
Check the oil level ("Maintenance-free geared oil level check"), and tighten the cover (refer to "Maintenance-free geared oil level check" for details such as the tightening torque of the bolt). When replacing the oil seal, Between the lips have the right amount of grease, if the double-seal form, between the two seals must be injected into the space between about 1/3 of fat. What should I do for the AM / AQA inspection / maintenance job interval at the input unit?
Up to 6 months per working hour or 3000 hours per working life Testing the torsional vibration Check the elastomer of the coupling Check for any leaks in the unit Replace the bearing grease after 25,000-3,000 working hours Change the oil seal Do not install in the original position Replace the coupling elastomer
Inspection / maintenance of input device AD
What time interval should be done!
Every 3000 working hours. Detection may be caused by the operation of the bearing noise damage
Check the input device for installation
After 25000-30000 working hours. Change the grease of the rolling bearing
Replace the shaft seal and replace the oil seal
customer service
If you need help from our customer service department, we need you to provide the following data:
Data on the nameplate (complete)
The type and extent of the problem
Time of failure and other valuable situations
Preliminary reason to judge
Reducer failure
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Abnormal, regular operation of the noise impact, friction sound: bearing damage
Knock noise, gear damage A. Test the lubricant (see "Inspection and maintenance operations") Replace the bearing
B. Please consult Customer Service Department
Abnormal, irregular running noise Oil detection Lubricating oil (see "Inspection and maintenance work")
Stop the operation of the equipment and consult customer service
Lubricant leak 1)
From the gearbox cover
From the motor flange outlet
From the motor seal
From the reducer flange outlet
Leakage occurs from the oil seal at the output shaft A, under the cover of the gear unit
B, the seal is not complete
C, reducer on the reducer failure A, tighten the bolts on the reducer cover and observe whether there is still leakage
B, please consult customer service department
C, the rubber ring on the valve to remove
Leakage of oil from the relief valve A, rubber gasket under the cover of the gearbox
B, reducer installation location is wrong
C, frequent cold start (resulting in lubricant foaming) higher oil level
A, add the correct amount of oil (see "inspection and maintenance operations")
B, stop equipment operation, consult with customer service department
